Daredevil: Born Again season 2 drops its finale next week, with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) poised for their most bitter clash in the long history of the Marvel drama.

The former Kingpin turned Mayor of New York has been particularly volatile since the sudden death of his wife, Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer), who sustained fatal injuries during an ambush by Bullseye (Wilson Bethel).

Fortunately, Matt doesn't have to face him alone, with Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) returning to the frontlines after Fisk targeted herself and her young daughter for elimination.

Ritter's long-awaited homecoming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe had been highly anticipated until episode 6's reveal, which left some viewers arguing that her character's role feels disappointingly tacked on.

The Breaking Bad alum has been spotted on the set of Born Again season 3, which is currently filming in New York City, so whatever happens in next week's finale, it seems safe to assume that Jessica will live to fight another day.

If you can't wait to find out what's in store, here's your updated guide to the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 release schedule on Disney+ – including when to expect episode 8.

When is Daredevil: Born Again season 2 episode 8 out?

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 episode 8 will be available on Disney+ from Tuesday 5 May (in the US) or Wednesday 6 May (in the UK).

The difference in date comes down to the time difference between the UK and the US, with American audiences getting the show on Tuesday evening, which unfortunately equates to the early hours of the morning over here.

That means most UK-based viewers won't be among the first to catch each episode, as it will be past many of our bedtimes (mine included), but at least we'll have something to look forward to on Wednesday mornings.

How many episodes are in Daredevil: Born Again season 2?

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will consist of eight episodes in total.

That's one fewer than the first season, but on the bright side, a third season is confirmed to be on the way – so it's not like we'll be short on Daredevil goodness anytime soon.
