The Devil Wears Prada 2 gets Disney+ release date confirmed – and it's soon

Disney’s 20th Century Studios has announced when fans can expect The Devil Wears Prada 2 to make its streaming debut.

The sequel, which brings back key cast members from the cult classic including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, is set to land on Disney+ and Hulu on 29 July.
The film, which premiered in cinemas on 1 May, will also become available to buy or rent on digital platforms including Prime Video and Apple TV, and hit 4k Ultra HD and Blu-ray on 28 June.
A DVD-digital bundle featuring the original movie and the sequel, as well as extra features, will also land on 30 June.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 was a huge box office success, generating $682.1 million against a $100 million budget, and also received much praise from critics.

In our own Radio Times review, we gave the film 4 stars, with critic James Mottram describing the movie as "bigger and bolder" than the cult classic and "a thoroughly enjoyable reunion – like being reacquainted with old friends".

The sequel takes place two decades after the first movie, following Andy Sachs (Hathaway) as she returns to Runway, where Miranda Priestly is navigating a new media landscape and facing off against another former assistant, Emily, who is now the head of a luxury brand that has funding that Priestley needs.
As well as the aforementioned quartet, the cast for the sequel also includes new characters played by Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu and Simone Ashley.
