Not to be confused with the Sidney Lumet melodrama of the same name, this is an under-funded British possession thriller in which any sense of suspense is undermined by the amateurishness of the special effects. However, the director Lindsey C Vickers is primarily responsible for this being such a lacklustre picture, with many of the incidents during classical musician Samantha Weyson's murderous reign of terror bordering on the risible. Edward Woodward tries to bring a bit of steel to the proceedings, but this is further proof of our inability to make credible chillers.
