Arsenal fans will be praying fellow Londoners Fulham can do them a massive favour by beating Premier League title rivals Manchester City at Craven Cottage this weekend.

The reigning champions are only one point behind Mikel Arteta's side with a game in hand, but would cede control if they lose to the Whites, who have already claimed big scalps including the Gunners' and Tottenham's on home soil this term.

While Fulham are a dangerous prospect at the Cottage, there has been a feeling of Marco Silva's outfit being on the beach in recent weeks, as they are winless in their last three and all set for a comfortable mid-table finish.

City, meanwhile, head to London in red-hot form with six league wins in a row, including last Saturday's 5-1 demolition of Wolves as Erling Haaland bagged four goals to move clear in the race for the Golden Boot.

That was the scoreline when these two met in this season's reverse fixture at the Etihad Stadium last September, although there was an element of good fortune as Nathan Aké had a goal incorrectly awarded by VAR to make it 2-1 before Haaland hit a second-half hat-trick.
