Now available to stream till your heart's content, this instalment sees Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) roar back to life – and seeking to correct the record laid out by his ex-lover Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson).
The series catches up with The Vampire Lestat in the 1980s, where he finds a surprising second life as a glam rock icon, whose influence among vampires and humans alike opens the door to frightening new possibilities.
Anderson reprises his role as Louis, but takes a step back from the main narrative after fronting season 2's Paris-set storyline, with the very title of the show changing to reflect this shift in focus.
The Vampire Lestat is hoped to restore the Rice-inspired Immortal Universe to a healthy shape, following the underwhelming reception to Mayfair Witches and the early cancellation of Talamasca: The Secret Order.
But where can you watch the new series in the UK? Read on to find out more.

The Vampire Lestat premiered in the US (via AMC) on Sunday 7 June 2026 and was previously unavailable in the UK – but is thankfully now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
The series has landed on iPlayer today (Tuesday 28 June) and will begin airing the same night on BBC Two at 9pm.
As for where to find it on iPlayer, the series is the rebranded third instalment of Interview with the Vampire and so, sits with the rest of the drama.
What is The Vampire Lestat about?
The Vampire Lestat is the rebranded third season of Interview with the Vampire, which derives its name from the second book in Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles series.
As the title suggests, these new episodes will break away from Louis de Pointe du Lac's point of view (although actor Jacob Anderson will continue to appear), as it takes an unpredictable journey into the mind of his hedonistic ex lover.

The synopsis, courtesy of AMC, reads: "In the rock and roll centric season, the Vampire Lestat goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by 'muses' from his wild and rebellious past.
"As his band's popularity and star power rises, so does Lestat's influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat's power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population."
