Prisoner cast: Who stars in the Sky thriller?
Izuka Hoyle and Tahar Rahim lead the cast of the new six-part series.
After just recently bringing us Netflix's Hostage, Matt Charman is back penning propulsive thrillers and this time round, Sky's Prisoner is set to chart another deadly manhunt that takes plenty of twists and turns.
The six-parter is directed by Peaky Blinders' Otto Bathurst and is led by The Serpent's Tahar Rahim and Boiling Point star Izuka Hoyle as two people on very different sides of the law.
The series follows Amber (Hoyle), a "principled young prison transport officer", tasked with escorting Tibor (Rahim), "a trained killer and high-value inmate", to court to testify against his elite crime syndicate. However, when their convoy is ambushed, she’s forced to put her life in his hands and they are soon on the run together.

Izuka Hoyle as Amber Todd
Who is Amber? Amber has just returned to work after her maternity leave and although she misses her daughter Mia, she knows that her work is going towards creating a safer world for her daughter. She's always been very strong-willed and determined, but soon her sense of morality is brought into question as her world gets turned upside down.
Where have I seen Izuka Hoyle before? Hoyle is known for her roles in Big Boys, Boiling Point (and its subsequent BBC series), Ludwig and The Responder. She has also starred in The Wheel of Time and The Outrun.
Tahar Rahim as Tibor Stone
Who is Tibor? Tibor is ruthless contract killer who is being transported to court to testify in a high profile case. Not realising he's a marked man, he's soon cuffed together with Amber and they must figure out how they'll get to safety.
Where have I seen Tahar Rahim before? Rahim has starred in The Serpent, The Looming Tower, The Mauritanian and Madame Web.
Eddie Marsan as Alex Tebbit
Who is Alex? The Director of Operations at the National Crime Unit, Alex is determined to bring down the crime syndicate that he's been investigating – even if that means not always sticking to the rules.
Where have I seen Eddie Marsan before? Marsan is a very well-recognised actor, having starred in a variety of productions over the years. He's had roles in Reunion, Ray Donovan, Ridley Road and The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe. In terms of TV, he has also starred in The Power, Franklin, Supacell and Lockerbie.
Laurie Davidson as Declan Dempsey
Who is Declan? The son of Pegasus crime leader Harrison, Declan has been trying to strike out of his father's shadow for some time now but his short temper doesn't win him any fans.
Where have I seen Laurie Davidson before? Davidson has had notable roles in The Girlfriend, Will and Mary & George. He has also starred in The Other Bennet Sister, The Road Trip and A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story.
Leonie Benesch as Nina Voss
Who is Nina? Nina was trained many years ago by Tibor but is now a brutal contract killer in her own right.
Where have I seen Leonie Benesch before? Benesch has had notable roles in The Swarm, Around the World in 80 Days, Spy City and The Master Butcher. She has also starred in Vienna Blood and Babylon Berlin.
Finn Bennett as Olly
Who is Olly? Olly is Amber's husband and stays at home with their daughter while Amber returns to work. Although he knows her close-knit work team, he remains concerned for her safety and must soon step up to help her.
Where have I seen Finn Bennett before? Bennett has starred in Black Doves, True Detective: Night Country and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. He has also had roles in Top Boy, Liar and Kiri.
