Channel 4 has unveiled a trailer for Last One Laughing UK favourite Sam Campbell’s new comedy series, Make That Movie, while also confirming when fans can expect the show to land.

The new six-episode series, which focuses on a hotshot director (Campbell) who scours the country for everyday people who have an idea for a feature film, will launch on Channel 4 on Thursday 28 May.

The new trailer gives fans a look at Sam and his filmmaking crew in action as they race against the clock to transform the idea into a film in just three days, which results in countless hilarious moments.

Starring alongside Campbell as filmmakers are Lara Ricote (Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping) as runner Jess and Aaron Chen (Fisk) as intimacy coordinator Sebastian.

The cast is rounded out by Helen Bauer (Am I Being Unreasonable?) as sound engineer Pat, and David Hargreaves (This Country) as cinematographer Winnie.

Campbell first rose to prominence in the UK after winning live comedy's most coveted prize, the Edinburgh festival fringe comedy award in 2022.

The Australian comedian has gone on to appear on numerous shows including Taskmaster , 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Would I Lie to You?, QI and The Big Fat Quiz of the Year. Earlier this year, he was a runner-up on the second season of Last One Laughing UK.

Make That Movie will air on Channel 4 on Thursday 28 May.
