Manhood

Summary

Dallas businessman Bill Moore's mission to make penis enlargement as commonplace as Botox and bring these procedures into the mainstream. Cameras follow several men, including a gay porn star and a father of five, as they both put their bodies on the line and undergo procedures in pursuit of physical transformation

Review

David Butcher

Yes, this is exactly what it looks like: a long doc about what American guys call their manhood. The story follows an entrepreneur called Bill Moore and his mission to make penis enhancement as common as Botox. Along the way, we get a look at some men’s insecurity and the lengths (and girths) they’ll go to in the hope of feeling more manly. Director Daniel Lombroso is not squeamish about showing procedures, but also points to larger issues of how male expectations have been shaped by the manosphere and pornography.
