An award-winning Canadian comedy, Schitt’s Creek was a huge hit after it arrived on Netflix during lockdown.
Creator Dan Levy, his father Eugene, and the late, hilarious Catherine O’Hara star as a wealthy, spoiled family who lose everything and are forced to move to a run-down motel in a backwoods town that dad Johnny once bought as a joke.
Character-driven, it balances absurdity and dry humour with real warmth so it’s highly addictive. You may well find yourself bingeing the whole lot.
