Summary
"Everybody Loves Raymond" is an American sitcom about a New York sportswriter who makes light of every situation and tries to avoid taking on any kind of responsibility. Raymond (Ray Romano) and his wife Debra (Patricia Heaton) live with their daughter Ally (Madylin Sweeten) and identical twin sons Michael and Geoffrey (Sullivan and Sawyer Sweeten). Raymond's parents, Marie and Frank (Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle), and his older brother Robert (Brad Garrett) live across the street. As Debra does her best to be a good housewife and mother to her three children, Marie is always ready to pounce on anything that is less than perfect. By contrast, Frank is very laid-back and more than happy just to watch his favourite sports. Robert is envious of Raymond, believing him to be the favourite son - hence the title of the show. Hugely popular in America, it ran for nine seasons.
