Review

Jack Seale

He doesn’t say much, but when he says he’s going to count to three, you’d better run, or they’ll be carrying you out in a bucket… Jack Reacher, gargantuan hero of Lee Child’s bestselling books, is given a formidable screen presence in Prime Video’s series Reacher.

As played by Alan Ritchson who looks more like a painting of a mythical giant than a real man, Reacher is the unstoppable beefcake imagined in the books, a former military police investigator whose entry into civilian life is complicated when he’s falsely accused of murder.

Often undercutting the clipped toughness of the drama with dry wit, the drama features a deep conspiracy and a lot of fisticuffs.
