If you’re worried about where you’re going to watch Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, spare a thought for the astronauts of the International Space Station.

Stuck up in the orbit the plucky pioneers have little chance of finding their way to a multiplex, let alone talking their way into a prized midnight screening. It’s almost worth staying on Earth.

However, turns out things aren’t so dark for the men and women of the ISS, because according to British astronaut Tim Peake (who flies up to the station tomorrow), there’s already a copy of the movie waiting for them.

A personal gesture from the filmmakers, and a hugely appropriate viewing arena for a space opera. Maybe being an astronaut isn't such a bad job after all.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is in cinemas from 17th December
