The Norwegian goal machine bagged once again last time out to extend his lead in the Golden Boot race but it came in a defeat as City lost at Aston Villa.

Haaland has won the gong in three of his four seasons at the Etihad and is hunting a record-equalling fourth this term. The seismic decision on the Man City charges could make that difficult but doesn't seem to have put him off just yet.

Chelsea's Joao Pedro, Etihad teammate Rayan Cherki, summer Chelsea signing Morgan Rogers, and Liverpool striker Alexander Isak make up the rest of the early pacesetters.
