Cristiano Ronaldo's team are among the bookies' leading fancies for this summer's tournament thanks to their strength in depth from back to front. It looks set to be the football icon's final appearance at a World Cup and the 41-year-old will hope to hit the ground running.

Portugal, managed by former Everton and Wigan boss Roberto Martinez, are unbeaten in their last five matches and lifted the UEFA Nations League title last year.

While Portugal breezed to World Cup qualification, DR Congo punched their ticket to the finals in dramatic circumstances. The Leopards were afforded a second chance to qualify via the inter-confederation play-offs and required an extra-time goal from Burnley defender Axel Tuanzebe to beat Jamaica.

It's their second World Cup appearance, having previously featured as Zaire in 1974, and head coach Sébastien Desabre boasts a number of familiar faces in his squad, including Newcastle forward Yoane Wissa, Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki, and West Ham full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
