Serena Sugden's (Casey Al-Shaqsy) true colours are shining through in Emmerdale.

Last week, she was revealed as the mystery intruder at Home Farm. Early in the morning, she'd snuck into the manor house and stole a USB stick from owner Kim Tate (Claire King).
Kim had ordered her 'head of operations' Ross Barton (Michael Parr) to find the culprit, to no avail. He questioned Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) - both holding grudges against the Tate clan - but they had no idea.
That night, we were dealt a quick glimpse at a laptop screen, which showed that there were several photos of the family on the USB. There was also a multitude of folders. When the computer closed, Serena looked unimpressed by her discovery.
She later snuck her stolen article back into Home Farm, sliding it down the side of a sofa. Kim just assumed that she'd misplaced it, and Ross was too smitten with Serena to clock her real intentions.

In today's episode, she returned to the scene of her crime. She wasn't the only one who had illegally gained access, as Kev Barton's (Chris Coghill) old pal Steve Sykes (Jason Done) was trying to get his hands on whatever fortunes lay behind closed doors.
Steve had wanted Kev to join him, with a view to using money from the goods obtained to run away to Benidorm.

However, this was before Kev made amends with son Lewis (Bradley Riches), who had initially believed that he'd attacked his boyfriend Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson). Guilt-ridden, Vinny came clean about the real circumstances and was forced to apologise for his attempt at tarnishing Kev's character.
Serena and Steve were stunned to come face to face, both deciding to stay quiet about their respective operations. Suddenly, the noise of an approaching Ross put them both at risk.
Steve came at him from behind while Serena snuck out of the back door, though later in The Woolpack, Ross spotted his attacker across the room.

The men darted out of the pub and for a moment it seemed like Steve had evaded justice. However, when Ross caught up with him, he was forced to admit the truth.
Ross quickly began to dial 999, but in a bid to silence him, Steve explained that he wasn't alone in there - and that Serena had clearly fabricated interest in him to sneak around Home Farm.
What will he do with this information?
