"There's a lot coming up for these ladies," teased Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks yesterday.

It comes ahead of a special episode that explores Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) and her 'angels'; Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine), Bernie Winter-Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove), Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) and Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins).
We'll see the women gather for a drinks night at the Street Cars flat, believing they're about to help Debbie prepare a photo memory book for her son Carl (Jonathan Howard).
Throughout the evening, revelations come to light and the girls make decisions that will shape their individual futures. While we can't reveal exactly what this entails just yet, find below five huge spoilers for the aftermath, which were revealed by Brooks.
Here's what lies ahead in Weatherfield...
5 Coronation Street spoilers for the months ahead
1. A major storyline for Glenda Shuttleworth

Glenda fans, rejoice! She's finally getting her moment in the spotlight.
"So we have got a big, big storyline coming up for Glenda in the New Year, which will really kind of unpack [her] as a character. Obviously she is a fabulous character and very Elsie Tanner. So there is a big storyline coming up, which will hit screens in March time," Brooks teased.
"There will be a love interest. Love may be on the horizon and a happy ever after. I think Glenda is in need of some happiness, but it's a big story and is not just completely pertaining to a love story.
"Fantastic stuff coming up. Jodie is incredible, so it will be amazing."
Prenger later cryptically told Radio Times: "Who knows what's in her past? There is a lot to be revealed. There is something in her Christmas cracker."
2. The Shuttleworth family unite around Lucy Parkinson's troubles

Christina is currently on a mission to prove her late daughter Rachel's innocence. She's been painted as a bad woman who abused her husband, forcing him to kill her in self-defence. But there's something about the couple's daughter, Lucy (Anya Dewin), that isn't adding up.
In one instance, she seemed to imply that she was her mother's killer.
Moving forward, Christina will not only fight in Rachel's memory, but also for her granddaughter's future.
"The Lucy storyline is still ongoing, and it does reach quite a big climax in the near future," Brooks said on the plot.

"I love Christina and George. That relationship with the Shuttleworths is just dynamite. We'll definitely see more of that - more of the Shuttleworths as a family unit.
"Especially given that Glenda is Christina's sister-in-law. We'll be exploring that dynamic between them."
She concluded: "This is the tip of the iceberg of the Lucy storyline, because it does get quite big and there's more twists and turns to come."
3. A special point-of-view episode for Debbie Webster

Corrie fans remain in uproar over the decision to give one of their greatest ever characters a young-onset dementia diagnosis. The only thing softening the blow is Devaney's stellar performance, which we'll see more of as Debbie's condition sadly worsens.
There'll also be a special episode from her point-of-view.
"I've got some really special stuff coming up with Debbie. Sue [Devaney]'s incredible, and every single episode I see, I am just completely blown away," Brooks enthused.

"We've got a really special episode coming up over the Christmas period, which is a POV episode that I viewed yesterday, and it's insanely good and powerful. This is a performance like you've never seen before. Let's just put it that way. Never been done before. We see what she sees, but we don't see it."
Speaking of the legend's failing cognitive ability, Brooks continued: "As Debbie's dementia starts the slight decline, we will start to get to the really tough parts of it as her family starts to rally around and her friends. This gang of women and her family will become really key ingredients into rallying around her and making sure that she's okay and she's supported.

"There'll be laughs, there'll be fun along the way, but we are getting to the stage now where it is it's getting a bit more serious."
4. Abi Webster faces her demons again

For years, poor Abi battled substance abuse and allowed her teenage son Seb to raise her young twins, Charlie and Lexi. When the infants were shipped off to a new home in Australia, she began to slowly rebuild her life.
Tragically, Seb was brutally murdered, and despite being married to Kevin Webster, a one-night stand with Imran Habeeb seemed to ruin everything. He later agreed to raise her newborn son Alfie.
Just as things were finally looking up for Abi, she cheated on Kev' again with his nephew Carl - and there seems to be even darker days ahead.

"There's great bit of the old Abi cropping up. It's quite a curveball but the old Abi does kind of re-emerge during the Christmas period," revealed Brooks.
"It's whether her family and friends are able to make sure that she gets that on the right track or not. It's going to be a bit of a bumpy ride. There's a few curveballs, but a friendship with Debbie is very important, and there's big stuff coming up in the spring which really puts them at the heart of it."
5. Sally Metcalfe and Christina Boyd's friendship is strengthened

Since Sally discovered Christina's connection to Lucy, the pair have been at loggerheads. Christina has worried about the youngster being in Sally's care, and now it seems their friendship could be forever fractured.
Fortunately, Brooks has confirmed that they will eventually make amends.
"Again, the Lucy storyline ties Christina and Sally in together, and what I love about that friendship and dynamic is that you're never quite sure where it's going to land - whether they're going to end up exploding or whether they're going to be hugging and telling each other how wonderful they are," she said.
"I love that unpredictability about it. So in terms of the Lucy story, that does reach a big climax soon, and it puts Christina and Sally very much again at the heart of it. So lots of stuff for each of these women, but the key thing that doesn't change is really their friendship."
