EastEnders icon set for return to TV in beloved Channel 5 crime show opposite Corrie legend
Anita Dobson will star opposite Shayne Ward in The Good Ship Murder season 4.

Former EastEnders star Anita Dobson is reportedly set to return to our screens for a guest role on Channel 5’s crime drama The Good Ship Murder.
The actor, who joined the BBC soap for its first ever episode and played the iconic role of Angie Watts between 1985 and 1988, before returning as a ghost in honour of the show’s 40th anniversary last year, is set to film scenes in Malta in the coming weeks, according to The Sun.
A source told the publication: "The show is known for its guest stars and bosses are very excited to have secured soap royalty in Anita Dobson."
The source continued: "The cast and crew are all buzzing."
Radio Times has contacted Channel 5 for comment.

The Good Ship Murder stars Coronation Street alumni Shayne Ward and Catherine Tyldesley as a retired police detective turned cabaret singer and accomplished First Officer respectively, following the duo as they solve a string of murders and navigate a complicated romantic relationship along the way.
It was confirmed back in March that the drama would be returning for a fourth season after its continued success.
However, the news was bittersweet, as it was also announced that Tyldesley will make her final bow as Kate Woods in the season four premiere after reprising her role as Eva Price in Coronation Street back in October of last year.

The 5 drama has run since 2023, with both Tyldesley and Ward having been on board since its inception.
The third season, which followed on from Jack's sacking from the vessel and separation from Kate, began airing on 6 January.
