The Forsytes season 2 first look teases future episodes after dramatic season 1 finale
A new era dawns in the trailer for the period drama's second season.

Just months after the first season of hit period drama The Forsytes debuted on 5 in the UK, a first look trailer has now been revealed for the show's second run.
The trailer sees Joshua Orpin's Soames devising a plan to rebuild the family's reputation, while his wife Irene, played by Millie Gibson, reveals she has made a vow to commit herself to her marriage - at the expense of her dreams.
Soames also announces that "a new era dawns" and we get our first glimpse at Outlander star Richard Rankin's new character.
You can watch the trailer, which was released following the season 1 finale airing in the US on MASTERPICE PBS, right here now.
Alongside Orpin and Gibson, the new season will also see the return of key cast members including Danny Griffin as Jo Forsyte, Tuppence Middleton as Frances Forsyte, Eleanor Tomlinson as Louisa Byrne, Francesca Annis as Ann Forsyte, Stephen Moyer as Jolyon Forsyte Sr and Jack Davenport as James Forsyte.
Meanwhile, other new additions joining Rankin in the season 2 cast include Sarah Alexander (Art Detectives) and Nia Ashi (Bob Marley: One Love).
The season 1 finale saw Jo leaving his wife Frances in order to restart his relationship with old flame Louisa, with whom he only recently discovered he had twin children.

There is clearly a lot of confidence behind this latest adaptation of John Galsworthy’s novel, The Forsyte Saga, as it has already been renewed for a third season well ahead of time.
The adaptation comes from creator Debbie Horsfield, who was previously behind BBC hit Poldark.
She told Radio Times magazine in an interview ahead of the first season airing last year: "Initially, I was nervous about taking on someone else’s characters, but I quickly realised I had to imagine they were my characters, to get inside their heads and understand what made them tick. So I did that and Poldark seemed to go OK."
The Forsytes season 2 is coming soon to 5, while season 1 is available to stream now.
