The Madame Blanc Mysteries future officially confirmed as series issues major filming update
Sally Lindsay's sleuth has plenty more cases to crack.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries is returning for a fifth season on 5 – and filming is already underway on the next episodes.
Sally Lindsay leads the cast of the cosy crime hit, playing amateur sleuth and antiques dealer Jean White, whose presence at any event has become a rather bad omen for her fellow guests.
Jean unravels a different suspicious death in each episode, with help and support from fiancé Dom (Steve Edge), friend Gloria (Sue Vincent) as well as comical couple Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James (played by Robin Askwith and Sue Holderness, respectively).
Fans can expect to see all these much-loved characters return in The Madame Blanc Mysteries season 5, alongside co-stars Alex Gaumond (as Chief of Police André Caron), Tony Robinson (as Uncle Patrick), Paul 'Chuckle' Elliott (as Trevor) and Stephen Bailey (as gangster John Marsden).
The synopsis, courtesy of 5, teases: "As Jean and Dom plan their wedding, nothing can prepare them for the unseen obstacles that crop up along the way."

Those include "a dead body in one of the show's iconic locations" and "a heart-wrenching dilemma" for Judith and Jeremy, plus a suspected poisoning at the St Victoire Theatre and "the full, fabulous wrath" of John Marsden.
Can Jean and Dom's planned nuptials weather so much drama? We'll just have to wait and see. Filming is currently underway on the next seven episodes of the hit series, taking place on the islands of Malta and Gozo.
5 has released an image from the set of stars Lindsay, Edge and Vincent as filming commenced.

Veteran series director Dermot Boyd, who helmed all earlier episodes, will be leading the production once again. Season 5 is eyeing a launch date on 5 sometime this year.
Co-creator Lindsay (who co-writes episodes with Vincent) commented: "I'm absolutely thrilled that The Madame Blanc Mysteries is returning for a fifth series.
"The love and loyalty from our audience has been incredible, and we're so grateful to everyone who keeps coming back to St Victoire with us.
"I'm endlessly proud of this amazing cast who bring so much joy, warmth and mischief to the show and series 5 is packed with sunshine, escapism and gloriously twisty mysteries... We can't wait to share another sun‑drenched adventure."
Commissioning editor Greg Barnett added: "We're absolutely thrilled to be bringing the series back once again. Sally Lindsay and the team continue to deliver the perfect blend of suspense, sunshine and sentiment.
"Wedding bells are on the horizon, but will it be murder getting Jean and Dom down the aisle?"
The Madame Blanc Mysteries is available to stream on 5. Season 5 coming soon.
