We now know a sneaky bit more about the new on-stage adaptation of The Traitors – set for its West End debut in 2027.

A theatre production of the hit series was announced at the start of this year, which has now been followed up with show name, dates and a very intriguing format.
The Traitors – Acts of Betrayal will kick off at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in May 2027 and, instead of one play, the show will comprise a cycle of five new plays inspired by the format of the show.
Every weekday performance will begin with the same premise before diverging into one of five separate narratives. So for instance, characters murdered early on a Monday may progress further, or even win, on the Thursday. The producers describe each play as a complete work in its own right while also forming part of a larger cycle.

Saturday performances will take this one step further, with audiences being able to choose which character becomes one of the Traitors. Whoever they choose will determine which of the five plays is performed that night.
Although we don't know much more, this description means it's likely each show will start with an enigmatic, Claudia-esque host picking their line-up of Traitors. It's also likely fans will see iconic features of the series like The Round Table, The Tower and the challenges.
Stephen Lambert, chief executive of co-producer Studio Lambert, said: “Each of the five plays tells a whole story on its own. But the same evening could have turned out in completely different ways, and anyone who wants to discover how is welcome to come back and find out. On the surface it is a game of paranoia and betrayal. Underneath, it is about who we really are under pressure, and the way our true colours show in the end.”

Caro Newling, co-founder of co-producer Neal Street Productions, added: “It’s a true privilege to bring such an innately theatrical concept to the stage together with Studio Lambert and a team of inspired theatre-makers.
“With a different new play performed each weekday night, and rogue-choice Saturday performances, they’ve together created an endeavour of extraordinary scale, offering audiences a genuine box-set of entertainment from the heart of the Traitors universe.”
The Traitors on stage will kick off on 11 May 2027 with previews, before opening night on 8 June. Cast and further details have yet to be announced but tickets are already on sale.
