Finding your way around the site
The Radio Times listings database contains TV and radio listings for over 400 TV channels and radio stations for the next 14 days. The listings are kept up to date with the latest schedule changes too so you can be confident that what you see is what's actually on.
The tabs across the top of every page will take you to the main sections of the website: TV for all TV-related information, including complete listings, highlights, a search facility, programmes guides and more; Radio provides the same for radio. In the Film section you will find a 26,000-strong database of expert reviews and film-related information for both TV and cinema.
In Downloads, we tell you how you can download your favourite TV and radio programmes online on your PC - which shows are available, where to go to get them and how to go about it.
Exclusives contains sections not strictly related to TV, radio and film listings, including features, photo galleries and a wealth of content.
Win is our competition section, where you can enter to win some great prizes, while on our Buy page you get a money-saving Radio Times magazine subscription deal and benefit from other unbeatable offers.
When you have registered and logged in on the site, with Your details and Your programmes at the top of the page you can make the most of the Radio Times website by personalising your listings - for example, choosing to display only the channels you watch, in the format you prefer, and creating your own viewing schedule.

TV and radio listings
The TV and Radio tabs automatically take you to the listings pages. The listings are shown in a grid format by default, but you have the option to switch to a list if you prefer - simply click the View as list button.
The listings grid automatically shows programmes that are being broadcast in the current three-hour time slot. You can change the time and the day of the listings in a number of different ways. The tabs marked Today, Tomorrow, Monday etc change the day displayed on the page - simply click the day that interests you and the relevant listings will appear. Note that days are considered to be the 24-hour period between midnight and midnight so the late-night movie, for instance, might fall on the next day's listings.
Alternatively, you may use the date drop-down alongside the day tabs to change the day - with this tool, you can browse up to 14 days in advance.
The number bar at the top of the page allows you to change the three-hour time span displayed on the page. For example, if you wish to view listings from 6pm, click 6pm on the bar and the grid will display 69pm. Similarly, if you wish to view listings from 11pm, click 11pm on the bar and the grid will display 11pm2am. Note that if you wish to view listings that begin after midnight, the date needs to be changed to the following day via the day tabs or the drop-down.

| There are several arrow buttons in the grid - those featuring a single arrow move the grid on or back one hour; those featuring three arrows move the grid on or back three hours.
In the listings, hovering over a programme title will give you basic details (such as transmission times and channel); click on the title and you will be taken to a page giving you more substantial information (synopsis, cast details, VIDEO Plus+ number, related features, links and much more). Note that you can opt to see this page as a pop-up if you prefer - change your preference in the top-right on the listings page. What's more, you can click on a channel name in the listings for contact details and website information for that channel.
TV and radio schedules can change frequently; this is especially true for listings for more than seven days in advance. We do everything we can to ensure that the listings we have are up to date and contain the correct information.

Customising the site
Unregistered visitors to the Radio Times website are presented with listings for a standard set of 40 national channels; however, a safe and simple registration process allows you to access 400 TV channels and radio stations plus a whole host of exciting personalisation features. Register with the site via the button at the top left of every page; once you have done this, we will remember your selections the next time you visit.
Registering is free but if your account remains inactive for six months, unfortunately we have to delete your details owing to space constraints. If you return to the site after that six-month period and wish to personalise the listings or use the Your programmes function, you will need to re-register.
Once registered and logged in, at the top of all pages across the site you'll see the tabs Your details and Your programmes, which allow you to personalise the Radio Times website to make it work in the most convenient way for you.
These options enable you to access TV and radio listings for your region, choose your own selection of channels to appear in your listings, select a preferred listings grid or list view, and create your own personal viewing schedule.
The Your details feature allows you to choose your own selection of channels that appear in your listings grid or list, and customise the order in which they appear.
Your programmes enables you to compile a list of upcoming programmes on TV or radio to make sure you never miss your favourite programmes again. The Add to Your Programmes function is available in the listings grid or via the programme details pages in the grid (which appear when you click on a programme title).
Note that when you choose to add a programme, you are given the choice to add the programme as a single programme, as a single channel series (any time that programme is on a single particular channel), or as a multi-channel series (any time that programme is on any channel).
To remove a programme from Your programmes, click the Remove from your programmes button that appears next to the programme in the list of Your Programme entries. This will reverse the function you used to add the programme, so if you added it as part of a series all of that series will be removed from Your programmes.
If you are concerned that a programme has disappeared from Your programmes, it may be because it has lost its place in the schedule. TV and radio schedules are subject to change, particularly for programmes that are more than seven days ahead. When the programme is rescheduled, it will automatically reappear in Your programmes.
This automatic updating will also come into action when extra episodes of a programme are added at the last moment. If you've added a programme any time it's on any channel, you may find that Your programmes list grows because a new channel has started screening that show. In that situation, if you want to reduce the number of occurrences of a programme, remove it from Your programmes, find the channel you want and add the programme again for just that channel.

Film reviews
The film database contains over 25,000 reviews covering films on TV, video/DVD, and at the cinema. It is updated with all new UK cinema releases and extra reviews every week.
In the top left of the main Film Reviews page you will find our standard search box. Here you can search for a film or person by entering a keyword and then clicking Search.
Another search facility offered on this page is Local Cinema Listings Search, allowing you to check cinemas around the country to find out which films are on when in your area.
For many films you will find links to some general film sites and also to specific sites for that film or person. We are adding to these all the time, but if you would like to recommend a website please contact us at radio.times@bbc.co.uk.
