The Lionesses kicked off their campaign by grinding out 1-0 victories against Haiti and Denmark before turning on the style with a 6-1 demolition of China to rubber-stamp their passage to the knockout stage of the tournament.

Lauren James has been the star of the show for Sarina Wiegman's side with three goals in the last two games, and she is expected to keep her place in the starting XI.

Nigeria were unbeaten in Group A but could only finish second behind Australia in the opening stage of the tournament after being held to a goalless draw by the Republic of Ireland in their last match.

If England progress, they will face Jamaica or Colombia in the quarter-finals.
