Burnley host Oxford in the Championship on Tuesday night with Scott Parker's side desperate to get back to winning ways.

The Clarets, who host Oxford on Tuesday before turning their attention to their trip to Southampton in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, come into the game on the back of two consecutive 0-0 draws.

Burnley are eyeing instant promotion back to the Premier League, and they have the best defensive record in the Championship having conceded just nine times in 30 outings – however, they've struggled to create chances and score goals.

Parker signed two attackers in the January transfer window, with Marcus Edwards joining from Sporting on loan and Ajax's Jaydon Banel also heading to Turf Moor.

Burnley will be hoping they can help them close the five-point gap to league leaders Leeds.

Oxford were promoted from League One last season, and they're hoping to further distance themselves from the relegation zone.

Gary Rowett's side are unbeaten in their last nine league games and they're 10 points off the bottom three.
