It's part of her wider plan – orchestrated by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) – to drive a wedge between Caleb and wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly). But will the couple be able to eventually see through the plot and recover their marriage?

Elsewhere in the village, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) makes a big request of Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) that could cause uproar at The Woolpack, and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is haunted by reminders of her abusive ex-husband Tom King (James Chase).

Meanwhile, at the caff, Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) comes up with a plan to help grieving Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).

Here's everything happening in the episodes of Emmerdale airing between Monday 2 and Thursday 5 November.

4 Emmerdale spoilers for next week

1. Sadie King is successful in seducing Caleb Miligan

Sadie is growing increasingly frustrated as Ruby remains determined to stay sober, putting a serious dent in her plans. With her schemes threatening to unravel, Sadie resorts to desperate measures and secretly swaps her mate's drink for her own when nobody is watching.

Later, when Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) bemoans her lack of romantic prospects, Sadie offers to give her a demonstration of her flirting skills. With Ross Barton (Michael Parr) in her sights, she turns on the charm and soon persuades him to dance with her, before engineering a switch that leaves Ruby in his arms instead.

Caleb arrives at the worst possible moment and witnesses his wife collapsing on top of Ross. Furious at what he believes he has seen, he storms off, while Ruby is horrified to discover that she has been drinking. Sadie pretends to be concerned and offers to help, but she has no intention of letting her victim off the hook just yet.

When a livid Caleb confronts Sadie about the apparent flirtation between Ruby and Ross, she pours fuel on the fire by claiming that Ruby left the pub with him. Convinced that his wife has betrayed him, he decides he has had enough of their marriage and ends up sleeping with Sadie!

The following day, a guilt-ridden Caleb confronts Ruby, only to discover that she never spent the night with Ross. Shaken by the revelation, he begins to question his actions, while she's left mortified when he reveals that he saw her drunkenly dancing with Ross.

It doesn't take long for Ruby to put two and two together, and she quickly realises that Sadie has deliberately manipulated Caleb into believing she was unfaithful. Cornered by Ruby's furious questioning, Sadie insists that her actions were motivated by concern, but will Ruby fall for another of her lies?

With the damage done, Caleb wastes little time in making his feelings clear to Sadie. Once they are alone, he curtly orders her to move out.

Has Sadie's attempt to get what she wants backfired, and can Caleb and Ruby's marriage survive the fallout?

2. Robert Sugden offers Marlon Dingle and Mary Goskirk new jobs

Robert has his sights set on Marlon, and he's prepared to make an enticing offer to bring the talented chef into his new business.

Keen to win him over, Robert lays out his vision and promises the chef the creative freedom he's been craving. The prospect proves tempting enough that Marlon eventually admits to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) that Robert is trying to poach him, leaving him feeling decidedly uncomfortable as she reminds him where his loyalties should lie.

However, Robert isn't ready to give up just yet. As he continues to pitch his plans, Marlon finds himself increasingly drawn to the opportunity, and the pair soon become caught up in an enthusiastic brainstorming session.

Marlon then names his price, and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) is left stunned when Robert agrees to his hefty salary demands without hesitation. Charity is later horrified when a guilt-ridden Marlon and Mary confess that they're handing in their notice to go and work for Robert.

Feeling betrayed by their decision, Charity makes her anger abundantly clear and turns on the pair. Her fury doesn't stop there, as she throws Robert and Aaron out of the pub.

Will the pair regret walking away from The Woolpack, or has Robert offered him an opportunity too good to refuse?

3. Kammy Hadiq worries that Tom King is tormenting Belle Dingle

At Take a Vow, Belle becomes concerned about the controlling behaviour she's witnessed from groom-to-be Jordan and decides to intervene before his wedding to Caz.

Hoping to help the bride recognise the warning signs, Belle invites Caz over for a private conversation about her relationship. Although she hopes she'll feel comfortable opening up, her intervention quickly takes an unexpected turn.

Caz is stunned by Belle's concerns and insists that she and Jordan are perfectly happy together. Furious at the suggestion that anything is wrong, she turns on Belle and fires her from planning their wedding.

Left devastated, Belle is forced to confront the possibility that she has badly misjudged the situation.

Elsewhere, Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) makes an unsettling discovery when he comes across a wreath of dead flowers addressed to his girlfriend. Given the sinister nature of the delivery, suspicion soon falls on Tom King.

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is quick to urge Kammy to keep the discovery to himself, apparently keen to spare his younger sister further distress.

4. Nicola King is soothed by the sound of Kev Barton's snoring

Kev and Nicola have a chat in a scene from Emmerdale

Nicola reaches breaking point when the lunchtime rush at the caff becomes too much to bear. Overwhelmed by the pressure, she loses her temper and orders everyone out, leaving Kev to step in and try to calm her down.

After persuading her to reopen the café, he pulls her into a hug, giving her the chance to let her guard down. As the pair share a heart-to-heart, Nicola opens up about her grief, and she is surprised to discover a more sensitive side to Kev.

As their conversation turns to memories of the late Jimmy King (Nick Miles), Nicola makes a heartfelt admission – she is struggling to sleep without the familiar sound of her late husband's snoring.

Keen to help, Kev offers Nicola his bed for the night, suggesting that a change of scenery might do her some good. Touched by his kindness, Nicola accepts.

However, a different bed doesn't provide the solution she hoped for, and Nicola finds herself wide awake. As she heads out, she passes Kev sleeping on the sofa and is struck by the sound of his snoring, which reminds her of Jimmy.

Unable to resist the unexpected comfort it brings, Nicola lies down on the floor beside him, hoping that the familiar noise might finally help her drift off.
