Nigella Lawson and Paul Hollywood's Great British Bake Off "chemistry" teased by Alison Hammond
Nigella Lawson joined the baking show following the announcement of Prue Leith's departure earlier this year.

As filming for the latest season of the Great British Bake Off gets underway Alison Hammond has teased the "chemistry" between Paul Hollywood and new celebrity judge Nigella Lawson.
It was announced earlier this year that Nigella Lawson would be joining the show following the departure of Prue Leith who had been a judge since 2017 when GBBO moved to Channel 4.
Now Alison Hammond, who co-hosts alongside Noel Fielding, has given fans a teaser of what to expect from the upcoming series as she declared that Paul and Nigella's on-screen chemistry is "unbelievable".
Speaking on Lorraine yesterday (4 May), Alison said: "Obviously we’ve started [filming], so I’ve been watching. I’m telling you, the chemistry between her and Paul is unbelievable."

Referring to a blown-up photo of the Nigella and Paul on a screen, Alison continued: "Look, you can feel it, can’t you? Don’t they look good-looking? Look at them!
"Honestly, they’re so good together. Because I’ll be honest with you, they don’t always agree, and it’s so good!"
Speaking on her own relationship with Nigella, Alison gushed that she is "lovely" and "incredible".
Alison Hammond has been co-hosting the cosy baking show since 2020 when she replaced Matt Lucas.
Prue Leith announced in January this year that she would be stepping away from the show despite declaring "there cannot be a better job in the world".
She was delighted by the announcement of her replacement, saying of Nigella's appointment: "(Lawson is) really nice, mighty glam and seriously bright, sexy and sassy. I’m just glad she wasn’t in the running nine years ago."
GBBO's original celebrity judge Mary Berry predicted Nigella and Paul's chemistry: "I’ve also recently heard Nigella Lawson is the new Bake Off judge, and I’m absolutely delighted. It will give Bake Off a wonderful new flavour, and Paul and her will get on like a house on fire."
The news comes after it was revealed by Channel 4 that the upcoming 17th series of The Great British Bake Off will see an exciting format change, introducing an 'Audience Choice week' where viewers can submit their own ideas for what the bakers should take on.
The Great British Bake Off returns later this year.
