Fan-favourite Death in Paradise star Joséphine Jobert may have bid farewell to the BBC drama some time ago now, but she is heading up a brand new police procedural that will be right up the street of any crime drama lover.

Saint-Pierre sees Jobert take on a co-leading role as Arch, a Deputy Chief that has an enigmatic past and thirst for the truth as she gets to grips with the French territory. She's joined by Allan Hawco – who also serves as Saint-Pierre's co-creator, co-showrunner and executive producer – as Fitz, who is brand new to the area after digging too deeply into a politician's life.

As the synopsis teases of their characters: "As if by fate, these two seasoned officers — with very different policing skills and approaches — are forced together to solve unique and exciting crimes.

"Although the islands seem like a quaint tourist destination, the idyllic facade conceals the worst kind of criminal activity, which tends to wash up on beautiful shores. At first at odds and suspicious of each other, Arch and Fitz soon discover that they are better together."

But who's who in Saint-Pierre? Read on to find out more about the cast of the series, which is now airing on U&Alibi.

Who is Fitz? Having newly arrived on the scene in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, Fitz is getting to grips with his new job posting despite some turmoil in his personal life. He previously proved himself to be stellar at undercover work but it had a massive toll on his life, relationship and family – something he's now pining for, but perhaps his new life on the island will change his perspective.

Where have I seen Allan Hawco before? Hawco is best known for his roles in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Republic of Doyle, Moonshine and Sullivan's Crossing.

Joséphine Jobert as Deputy Chief Geneviève "Arch" Archambault

Who is Arch? Arch is described as "confident, bold, extremely intelligent, highly analytical and the kind of cop that doesn’t miss a thing in the weeds — in fact, Arch lives in the weeds." A no-nonsense kind of cop who comes from a law background and has grown up in Paris and the UK before coming to Saint-Pierre for mysterious reasons of her own.

Where have I seen Joséphine Jobert before? Jobert is best known for her starring role as Florence Cassell in Death in Paradise, a role she held for multiple years and seasons. She has starred in various French language productions and is also a singer.

Benz Antoine as Marcus Villeneuve

Who is Marcus? Born and raised on Saint-Pierre, Marcus is the Chief Inspector and is also the closest thing that Arch has to a father figure. However, his character is described to have a "special relationship" with Sean Gallagher – but how deep does it go?

Where have I seen Benz Antoine before? Antoine has starred in procedural dramas like Rookie Blue and 19-2, as well as shows like Blue Murder and Reasonable Doubt.

James Purefoy as Sean Gallagher

Who is Sean? An Irish national, Sean is the kind of guy that you don't want to get on the bad side of and pretty much has stakes in most industries: politics, shipping, restaurants. He's also tied up in more nefarious goings-on, with more to be revealed in due course.

Where have I seen James Purefoy before? The English actor is known for his roles in HBO's Rome, A Discovery of Witches, Pennyworth and Sex Education.

Erika Prevost as Patty Montclair-Ito

Who is Patty? The desire to be a cop has pretty much always been written in the stars for Patty, seeing as she's considered a bit of a nepo baby in the field. Her connected parents essentially got her this position in Saint-Pierre but she's determined to learn from the best and hone her craft.

Where have I seen Erika Prevost before? Aside from her role in Saint-Pierre, Prevost has also starred in The Boys and teen drama Dare Me.

Saint-Pierre airs on U&Alibi from 9pm on Wednesday 22 April 2026.
