Meet the cast of Ozark season 4, Jason Bateman's acclaimed Netflix thriller
The dramatic climax arrives.
During its four-season run, Ozark's creators Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams haven't shied away from trimming down the cast, with a vast number of characters meeting a grisly end. But a number of key players remain as we head into the second part of the Netflix crime drama's fourth and final season.
All of the Byrdes will be back – Jason Bateman as Marty, Laura Linney as Wendy, Sophia Hublitz as Charlotte and Skylar Gaertner as Jonah – plus fan favourite Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner), cartel boss Omar Navarro (Feliix Solis) and his mad dog nephew Javi Elizonndro (Alfonso Herrera).
But who else will be joining them for the last hurrah?

Ozark season 4 cast: who stars in the Netflix thriller alongside Jason Bateman?
Jason Bateman plays Marty Byrde
Who is Marty Byrde? Marty used to be a Chicago-based financial adviser, whose lucrative side hustle was money laundering for a Mexican drug cartel. When the scheme went wrong due to a deceptive business partner, he was forced to abandon that life and start anew in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. There he plans a bigger operation that he hopes will save his skin, most recently setting up a casino to act as a front for his crimes.

What else has Jason Bateman been in? Bateman began his career in comedy, rising to prominence on sitcoms The Hogan Family and Arrested Development, before bagging big-screen roles in Dodgeball, Juno, Couples Retreat and Horrible Bosses. Ozark is one of several dramatic projects he has worked on in recent years, with other examples being feature films Disconnect and The Gift.
Laura Linney plays Wendy Byrde
Who is Wendy Byrde? Wendy has been a successful political campaigner at one point but was forced to leave all that behind when her husband's dodgy dealings caught up to him. Now, she plays an instrumental role in their criminal operation, having recently used her professional knowledge to pressure state representatives into backing a casino bill, and is determined to make a success of the Byrde Family Foundation.
What else has Laura Linney been in? Linney is a three-time Oscar nominee for her performances in You Can Count On Me, Kinsey and The Savages, while she has also earned acclaim for other features including The Squid and the Whale, The Truman Show and Mystic River. On the small screen, you may also recognise her from hard-hitting comedy-drama The Big C, which followed a high school teacher with terminal cancer.
Julia Garner plays Ruth Langmore
Who is Ruth Langmore? Ruth is a member of a local crime family who encounters the Byrdes shortly after their frantic escape to the Ozarks. Things get off to a rocky start for their relationship, but it isn't long before she becomes one of their most valuable allies, with Marty teaching her some useful tricks to their illicit trade. She proved herself loyal after killing her own uncles to save her boss's life, a move that proved too much to handle for her cousin, Wyatt, who skipped town.
In part 2, she's out for revenge after Javi murdered Wyatt. However, will she come to regret her revenge mission?
What else has Julia Garner been in? Garner is fast becoming one of Hollywood's most talked-about actors, with acclaimed television roles in The Americans, The Get Down and Ozark, the last of which has earned her three Primetime Emmys. On the big screen, she is known for coming-of-age drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, horror film We Are What We Are, and recent indie hit The Assistant.
Felix Solis plays Omar Navarro
Who is Omar Navarro? Navarro is the leader of the drug cartel which Marty finds himself indebted to, who was an unseen menace in the first two seasons of the show. The Byrdes earned some favour with him in season 3 after ending a gang war, resulting in him throwing his support behind them – and thus dragging them deeper into the criminal underworld. At the end of part 1, he winds up behind bars, leaving him more vulnerable than we have previously seen.
What else has Felix Solis been in? Solis has previously appeared in The Good Wife, The Following, SEAL Team and Charmed.
Alfonso Herrera plays Javi Elizonndro
Who is Javi Elizonndro? Javi is a member of the Navarro crime family. He follows orders passed down from above but also has one eye on taking over the operation for himself. At the end of part 1, Javi murdered Darlene Snell and Wyatt Langmore, leaving Ruth poised to take revenge on him just as he takes over the leadership of the Navarro cartel.
What else has Alfonso Herrera been in? Herrera has starred in numerous films and television shows in his native Mexico, while his English-language projects include Sense8, The Exorcist and Queen of the South.
Sofia Hublitz plays Charlotte Byrde
Who is Charlotte Byrde? Marty and Wendy's daughter has had a tough time adapting to their dangerous new life in the Ozarks, at one point trying to legally emancipate herself from the Byrde family. Unfortunately, that didn't work out and so she continues to find herself drawn into their high stakes schemes.
What else has Sofia Hublitz been in? Ozark proved to be a breakout role for Hublitz, who has since appeared in the crime drama Ida Red.
Skylar Gaertner plays Jonah Byrde
Who is Jonah Byrde? Wendy and Marty's son has also been deeply impacted by their family's uprooted life, becoming something of a loner. Following the death of his uncle Ben, he distances himself from his mother, unable to forgive her for sanctioning his murder. Jonah begins laundering money for Ruth, in part to spite his parents, and also because he's really quite good at it.
What else has Skyler Gaertner been in? He is best known for portraying a young Matt Murdock in Netflix's Daredevil streaming series, while he also appeared in two episodes of The Americans.
Veronica Falcón plays Camila Elizonndro
Who is Camila Elizonndro? Camila is Omar's sister and Javi's mother. As with her son and her brother, she is not a woman to be messed with and is at her most dangerous when she is calm and composed.
What else has Veronica Falcón been in? Falcón's CV includes Perry Mason, Why Women Kill and Queen of the South, among others.
Adam Rothenberg plays Mel Sattem
Who is Mel Sattem? Mel is a former police officer who was kicked off the force for stealing cocaine from a lockup, before becoming a private investigator. He is hired by Helen Pierce's husband to find her so that he can wrap up their separation, but Mel ends up being drawn into the mystery surrounding Ben's disappearance.
What else has Adam Rothenberg been in? Rothenberg played the lead role of Captain Homer Jackson in the BBC/Prime Video crime drama Ripper Street. Telly fans may also recognise him from last year's factual miniseries The Serpent.
Richard Thomas plays Nathan Davis
Who is Nathan Davis? Nathan is Wendy and Ben's religious father. His relationship with his daughter is particularly strained, with their problems extending all the way back to Wendy's younger years.

Katrina Lenk plays Clare Shaw
Who is Clare Shaw? Clare is the CEO of Shaw Medical Solutions, a pharmaceutical company. She strikes a deal with the cartel, in which they supply her with the "raw product" she needs for her company's drugs.
What else has Katrina Lenk been in? You'll recognise Lenk from Tommy and The Village, among others.
Jessica Frances Dukes plays Maya Miller
Who is Maya Miller? Maya is an FBI agent investigating Marty's activities. Last season, she offered him a comfortable way out of his illegal activities, but he declined and set his sights on turning her to his side of the law. In part 1, she went against the wishes of her bosses to have Navarro arrested, which earned her a demotion.
What else has Jessica Frances Dukes been in? She is best known for playing Grace on Marvel's Jessica Jones.
Damian Young plays Jim Rattelsdorf
Who is Jim Rattelsdorf? Jim has functioned as the Byrdes inside man in the world of politics, using his position as adviser to a wealthy political donor to their advantage. Wendy seeks to make Jim her right-hand man in the new episodes.
What else has Damian Young been in? Young starred opposite Friends star Lisa Kudrow in her cult favourite follow-up project The Comeback, while more recently he has had film roles in Birdman, Ocean's 8, I Care A Lot and The Trial of the Chicago 7.
Bruno Bichir plays Father Benitez
Who is Father Benitez? We're not given an insight into the priest's personal life, only really spending time in his company when Navarro needs to pray after committing gruesome acts or requires counsel.

Joseph Sikora plays Frank Cosgrove Jr
Who is Frank Cosgrove Jr? Frank Jr is the son of Kansas City mob boss Frank Cosgrove Sr, who is desperate to prove to his father that he is a worthy successor to the business. The elder Cosgrove was killed by Darlene Snell in part 1, and she also shot off Jr's genitals during another of her episodes. Season 4 sees him become an unlikely ally to Ruth.
What else has Joseph Sikora been in? Sikora is best known for his role as Tommy Egan in the Power franchise.
Jordana Spiro plays Rachel Garrison
Who is Rachel Garrison? Rachel was a reluctant business associate of Marty after his move to the Ozarks, but her links with him ultimately led to her arrest. While in police custody, she made a deal to help the authorities catch him. After getting addicted to drugs thanks to agent Roy Petty, Marty helped Rachel get clean and leave after having an affair with Marty. Rachel returns in part 2 after Ruth tracks her down for help.
What else has Jordana Spiro been in? Spiro had a recurring role in the police procedural Blindspot, while she recently portrayed Mrs Lane in Netflix's trilogy of Fear Street movies.
Nelson Bonilla plays Nelson
Who is Nelson? Nelson is a hitman who once served as personal bodyguard to Helen Pierce – that is until the moment he shot her in the head when the crime family decided they no longer had any use for her. Nelson continues to work as an enforcer for the Byrdes and the Navarro cartel.
What else has Nelson Bonilla been in? Bonilla has had small roles in Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House, cop thriller Black and Blue, as well as Tom Holland drama Cherry.
Kevin L Johnson plays Sam Dermody
Who is Sam Dermody? Sam used to be a real estate agent who helped the Byrdes find their home in the Ozarks. He then went on to work at the strip club they acquired, where he fell in love with one of the dancers. Sam is also a recovering gambling addict. He ends up working under Ruth at the motel.

McKinley Belcher III plays Trevor Evans
Who is Trevor Evans? Trevor is an FBI agent who worked on the Byrde case. He was reported by Maya for accepting a confession that he knew to be false and subsequently punished for his actions.

Carson Holmes plays Three Langmore
Who is Three Langmore? Three is Ruth's cousin and Wyatt's younger brother who she continues to support.
What else has Carson Holmes been in? Holmes has had minor roles in Uncle Frank starring Paul Bettany and The Best of Enemies with Taraji P Henson, Sam Rockwell and others.
Which characters were killed in season 4, part 2?
Charlie Tahan plays Wyatt Langmore
Who is Wyatt Langmore? Wyatt is Ruth's cousin who was killed by Javi in part 1. He developed a close bond with Charlotte Byrde after she arrived at the Ozarks, but began down a self-destructive path after discovering that Ruth killed his father, which led him to Darlene. The pair married in the last season. We see him in flashbacks in part 2.
What else has Charlie Tahan been in? Comic book fans may know Tahan as Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow in the DC Comics crime drama Gotham, while he has also appeared in Wayward Pines, Castle Rock and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Lisa Emery plays Darlene Snell
Who is Darlene Snell? Darlene and her husband Jacob had been selling heroin in the Ozarks for some time before the Byrde family arrived, but that all fell apart when they made a big loss on a deal to build a casino on their land. In the aftermath, she began acting out in extreme ways, first by killing her husband and later by being complicit in the abduction of a baby. Darlene was ordered to cease her heroin operation by Javi but she refused, which resulted in her death.
What else has Lisa Emery been in? Prior to landing the Ozark gig, she had a recurring role on Marvel's Jessica Jones, while she has recently made guest appearances on Madam Secretary and Blindspot.
John Bedford Lloyd plays Frank Cosgrove Sr
Who is Frank Cosgrove Sr? Frank is a mob boss who was shot dead by Darlene. He turned up at her home demanding money that he was owed, but instead of coughing up, she killed him.
What else has John Bedford Lloyd been in? Lloyd has appeared in The Divide, Remember WENN, Aliens in the family and more.
Robert C Treveiler plays Sheriff Nix
Who was Sheriff Nix? Nix was head of the local police force. He owed a debt to the Snells, which left him vulnerable to corruption.
What else has Robert C Treveiler been in? Treveiler has featured in Banshee, Drop Dead Diva and Matlock.
Tom Pelphrey plays Ben Davis
Who is Ben Davis? Ben was Wendy's brother who became romantically involved with Ruth. He was killed by Nelson on Wendy's orders after he threatened to expose the Byrdes' work for the cartel, in turn signing their death warrants. He was killed in season 3 but appears in flashbacks in the final season.
What else has Tom Pelphrey been in? Pelphrey recently played a key role in the acclaimed biopic Mank, which was directed by David Fincher and starred Gary Oldman in the lead role. His other projects include US soap opera Guiding Light, Banshee and Marvel's Iron Fist.
