Just over two weeks after The Gentlemen returned for its second season, another show in which Guy Ritchie plays a prominent role, MobLand, has also started airing its second run.

There are key differences between the two shows – The Gentlemen was created and written by Ritchie, while he also executive produces and directs.
On MobLand, he just acts as a director and executive producer, with Ronan Bennett having created the series and Jez Butterworth acting as showrunner for season 2.
The two shows also air on different platforms, with The Gentlemen streaming on Netflix and MobLand being a Paramount+ original.
However, both series do look at prominent criminal enterprises operating in the UK, and thus one could foresee the characters operating in the same world, and maybe even crossing over some day.
So, what do the cast of MobLand think about the idea? Well, Bella Harrigan star Lara Pulver has said there is a different show she would rather collaborate with.
"I feel like they're really different worlds, even though they're both under Guy's umbrella," Pulver said of MobLand and The Gentlemen. "I prefer the idea of the Harrigans doing Bake Off. That makes me laugh more."
Meanwhile, her co-star Johnny Flynn, who has joined the show as Frankie in season 2, said: "I've only seen a bit of the first series of Gentlemen.
"I think what's great about Guy’s world building is that they are all very different spaces, whether it's Lock Stock or… and, in a funny way, despite MobLand being quite heightened in a way. It's like, really?
"Could that many people have been murdered in a shootout and you wouldn't hear about it on the news? – but The Gentleman has a sort of conceit, doesn't it, that it feels even further from reality, in a good way."

Flynn said The Gentlemen has the potential for a lot of humour, at which point Pulver jokingly added "and Meghan Markle", referencing the recent reports that the Duchess of Sussex could be set to star in season 3 of that show.
"My friend Dan Ings is in that show, he’s very funny," Flynn continued. "I mean, it'd be really fun to do that, but yeah, they do they do feel like slightly separate things."
MobLand season 2 releases new episodes on Paramount+ on Fridays. You can sign up to Paramount+ for a seven-day free trial. The Gentlemen season 2 is available to watch in full on Netflix now. You can sign up to Netflix from £5.99 a month. Netflix is also available on Sky TV and Virgin Media.
