Resident Evil Requiem DLC confirmed with hilarious developer video
Good news for Resi fans.

Resi fans are having a great time at the moment! Resident Evil Requiem has sold five million copies and the RE9 reviews, including ours, have been absolutely glowing.
And now, there's more good news: the developers from Capcom have confirmed, with a hilarious video, that there will be Resident Evil Requiem DLC coming down the pipe in the future.
Keep on reading and we'll do our best to make sense of the Resident Evil Requiem DLC situation, and when you might expect its release date to be (based on previous form).
Will there be Resident Evil Requiem DLC?
Yes, it has now been confirmed by Capcom that Resident Evil Requiem will receive DLC content at some point after launch.
RE9's director, Koshi Nakanishi, appeared in a social media video (which you can watch below) to break the news.

The video confirms that the next thing to be added will be a photo mode. There is also a mini-game coming, which fans have been hoping is some sort of comeback for Mercenaries.
Beyond that, director Nakanishi said: "We are planning to make extra story content. In this story, we will delve deeper into the world of Requiem. We're hard at work on it now. It will take some time, so we ask for your patience and hope you'll look forward to it."
The video was pretty funny, with the director rustling through some papers featuring unusual artwork. One of them, titled Forbidden Requiem, appears to show Leon in a rather romantic situation.

Warning: If you keep reading, we will be getting into some spoilers for Requiem's main story.
Resident Evil Requiem does seem to have one big DLC tease, as fans who've finished the game in one particular way will know. Look away now if you don't know what I'm talking about!
In one of the endings, iconic franchise character Chris Redfield dispatches the BSAA Hound Wolf Unit to save the RE9 heroes, which seems to tee up the possibility that Chris could play an important role – perhaps being a playable character himself, similarly to Biohazard's Not A Hero expansion – in an upcoming Requiem DLC.

When could the Resident Evil Requiem DLC release?
We would predict, based on previous releases, that Resident Evil Requiem's DLC release date probably won't be until September 2026 at the earliest.
Resident Evil 4 Remake's Separate Ways DLC launched in September 2023, some six months after the game's initial launch in March 2023.
Resident Evil Village's Shadows of the Rose launched in October 2022, five months after the game's initial launch in May 2021.
Resident Evil 7's Not A Hero DLC launched in December 2017, a whopping 11 months after the game's initial launch in January 2017.
What that previous form in mind, we'd wager that there will be a wait of at least five months between the full game's launch and the story expansion. If and when a date is confirmed, we'll be sure to update this page.
