These days, plenty of gamers choose to get their games via subscriptions instead of paying for them outright – but is FM26 on Game Pass or PS Plus?

The flagship subscription services for Xbox and PlayStation respectively, Game Pass and PS Plus have become the best way to play so many incredible games.

That's especially true when it comes to a yearly release like FM where you have to get a new edition every single year anyway.

No matter how you choose to play, be sure to sign some of our excellent FM26 wonderkids to get your save off to a flying start.

But for the full details on whether FM26 is on Game Pass or PS Plus, here's what you need to know.

Is FM26 on Xbox Game Pass?

FM26 is available on Xbox Game Pass, but only via two of the available subscription plans.

If you're subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, then you will have access to Football Manager 26 on launch.

If you're subscribed to one of the cheaper tiers – Game Pass Premium and Game Pass Essential – you will not be able to play FM26, unfortunately.

If you were hoping to try out FM26 Console, then you're in luck, as the console version of the game will be available through both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass too.

Is FM26 on PS Plus?

No, at the time of writing, it does not appear that FM26 Console will be coming to PS Plus.

While FM24 was (and right now, still is) available on the PS Plus Extra tier and above, FM26 Console has not yet been confirmed for release on PS Plus.

On the official PlayStation Store page, the game is currently listed with a 10% discount offer for PS Plus subscribers, but no details of it being included in the tier are present.

This is further supported by the phrasing used on the official Football Manager website, which specifically mentions FM26 launching on Xbox Game Pass, but makes no specific reference to PS Plus.

Whether or not the game will come to PS Plus in the future remains to be seen, but considering the success of FM26 Console and the recent push to make the game more console-friendly, we wouldn't be surprised to see the series return to PS Plus sometime in the future.
