Bake Off bread week saw the innuendos flying – and possibly the best pun the show has ever seen

This isn’t the first time we’ve written about Bake Off innuendos and it won’t be the last, but bread week really did see the bakers whip out some eye-watering double entendres.

In fact, some were so near the knuckle (sorry) that it actually felt like a bit of light relief (sorry) when we got something as simple as “nice buns”.

We’ll break you in easy with those aforementioned nice buns, which had Kate cracking up…

There were also Liam’s wonky balls…

And Paul had his own preferences…

Some innuendos were of a more visual nature, like Julia’s ‘snail’…

And now, brace yourselves for Paul’s cottaging tips…

His advice was to stick a finger or two into the dough…

And finally, honourable mention must go to a truly great bit of word-play that Sandi and Noel had clearly been working on for some time…

Now we’re not saying this is the only reason they hired Prue – but it may well have sealed the deal…
