Good Omens season 3 trailer sees David Tennant and Michael Sheen reunited for emotional and epic finale

Prime Video has finally given fans a taste of what they can expect from Good Omens season 3 in a brand new trailer.

The upcoming instalment of the fantasy series, which will consist of one 90-minute finale, will be released on 13 May 2026.

The show, based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, follows the unlikely and centuries-long friendship between demon Crowley (David Tennant) and angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), who team up to prevent the apocalypse.

The second season left on a huge cliffhanger, as Crowley and Aziraphale admitted their feelings for one another and shared a kiss before going their separate ways.

Season 3 picks up where season 2 left off, with Aziraphale acting as the Supreme Archangel and overseeing the Second Coming. Crowley meanwhile, is at rock bottom and wallowing in his own misery.

But, as is teased in the new trailer, the pair are soon forced to come together and heal their bond when the fate of the universe is left hanging in the balance. Will they be able to team up together to save humanity?

Neil Gaiman, co-author of Good Omens, exited the TV series after he was accused of sexual assault, which he has strongly denied. He contributed to writing the Good Omens finale but he did not work on the production and his production company Blank Corporation was not involved.

A total of nine women have spoken out against the writer, with their accusations being detailed in a Vulture article published in January 2025, and in a Tortoise Media podcast released in July 2024.

Allegations included claims that Gaiman engaged them in "rough" sex and BDSM without their consent. The novelist has firmly denied any non-consensual or illegal conduct in a statement.

He said: "As I read through this latest collection of accounts, there are moments I half-recognise and moments I don't, descriptions of things that happened sitting beside things that emphatically did not happen.

"I'm far from a perfect person, but I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever."

Good Omens season 3 will arrive on Prime Video on 13 May 2026.
