I Will Find You marks the first American series that Harlan Coben has worked on with Netflix – and boy, does it slot well into his thriller offerings.

Coben's already brought us the likes of Fool Me Once, The Stranger and more recently Run Away, with his Netflix thrillers quickly being recognised for their twists – and I Will Find You delivers just that in its final episode.
But in this eight-part series, not only are we following some edge-of-your-seat action, but there are some pretty impressive scenes to behold too. Speaking about his reaction to filming in New York's iconic Times Square, Coben told USA Today: "I'm like, 'How are we possibly going to do this? And we managed."
With I Will Find You not being set against the British countryside or a gated community, where is the Netflix series filmed? Read on to find out.

I Will Find You was filmed across Canada, specifically in Kingston, Toronto and Ontario.
Filming for the series took place from April to August 2025, with notable locations including Kingston Penitentiary (which was obviously used as the prison that David escaped from) and University of Toronto Mississauga campus.
Further scenes were filmed in late August 2025 in New York, with locations including Washington Square Park, Central Park and Times Square. As fans of the show will recognise, those locations are central to the first episodes in which we see Rachel (Britt Lower) help David keep cover in New York – but are soon found.
Speaking about the process of filming in Times Square, showrunner Robert Hull told USA Today:"These extras look so real. They're just real. They're not extras."
Hull explained that "cooperation of the crowd" was paramount to the success of the scene, meaning that they couldn't actually wait until the real-life crowds had cleared. "We wanted to put [David] in the most crowded cacophony of sounds and sight, and it's a real testament to Sam's performance," Hull says. "Just watching him take it in is pretty spectacular."
I Will Find You marks Coben's first US-based series adaptation with Netflix. As fans of his shows will know, his dramas have usually been set in the UK or across Europe in countries like Spain and France.
“Netflix has been an amazing creative partner all over the globe — and now we get to come home and do it here in the United States. We have a dream team of talent," Coben told Tudum.
