Ogres are like onions and onions are like LEGO – layered. Which is why it makes perfect sense that the toy giant would be releasing their first-ever Shrek LEGO sets in honour of the film's 25th anniversary.

To celebrate the years since Shrek and Donkey set out on their mission to Far Far Away, you can now buy two new LEGO sets designed for adult and child builders.

The first is 1,403 piece model of Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots, while the second is a smaller 259 figure of Shrek, Donkey and Gingy, but both feature the iconic "Beware Ogre" sign and come packed with hidden Easter eggs like sunflowers, an onion and a blue flower with red thorns.

LEGO has partnered up with Universal Products & Experiences to produce these sets and Raquel Ojeda, Creative Lead from the LEGO Group said, “Shrek has always celebrated imagination, friendship, and a little bit of mischief, which are values that translate perfectly into LEGO play.

"We’re ogre the moon to partner with this beloved universe and see how fans build their own fairy-tale adventures. This is just the beginning, so keep your eyes peeled for lots more LEGO Shrek magic!”

LEGO Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots

Adult fans can reminisce on 25-years of Shrek with the detailed LEGO Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots posable display set for ages 18+.

Featuring brick-built Shrek and Donkey, plus a Puss in Boots minifigure, this set is on a swamp base with the classic “Beware Ogre!” sign. Other nods to the film include sunflowers, an onion and a blue flower with red thorns. Discover hidden Easter eggs tucked inside Shrek’s gut for an extra layer of fun.

For younger builders, the LEGO BrickHeadz Shrek set invites kids aged 10+ to step into the world of Far Far Away and build three beloved characters: Shrek, Donkey and Gingy. LEGO BrickHeadz are stylised, brick-built collectible figures, known for their distinctive square-headed design.

Packed with playful details from Shrek’s signature ears and Donkey’s cheeky smile to Gingy’s icing buttons, the set also features a “Beware Ogre” sign inspired by Shrek’s iconic swamp.
