Almost five years on from the multiverse hijinks of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland is back for his fourth solo outing as Spidey – and it already looks set to be a major smash.

Even without the presence of previous webslingers Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield this time around, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is projected to perform extremely well at the box office and could well be just the boost the ailing MCU needs ahead of Avengers: Doomsday in December.

While the film is expected to be a little more grounded than the aforementioned previous outing, it should still pack plenty of excitement, including an MCU debut for Stranger Things star Sadie Sink in a still undisclosed role.

Eager to see it as soon as possible and wondering the best way to do so? Read on for everything you need to know.

How to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day – is it streaming?

No – the film is not currently streaming. Like all MCU films, it has been given an exclusive theatrical release and so will be available only in cinemas for the foreseeable future after its debut on Wednesday 29 July.

The good news is that it's getting a very wide release, and so it shouldn't be very difficult to find a screening that suits you – just check your local cinema for the best times.

You could even do a Tom Holland/Zendaya double bill and watch it back to back with The Odyssey, in which they also both star...

When will Spider-Man: Brand New Day be released on streaming?

Of course, when the theatrical window comes to an end, the film will eventually be made available to watch at home, in the first instance to rent and buy on the usual range of Premium Video-on-Demand platforms such as Prime Video and Sky Store.

No official streaming date has been confirmed at this stage, but we can make a reasonable estimate based on previous MCU releases, with the wait between theatrical release and home debut tending to be somewhere from two to three months.

With that in mind, we'd probably be looking at somewhere around early October at the very minimum, although this could be delayed further if the film performs as strongly at the box office as is expected.

We'll keep this page updated as and when we get more official news.

Will Spider-Man: Brand New Day be released on Disney Plus?

Normally with MCU films there's a pretty straightforward answer to this question – given the vast majority of the films do eventually land on the streamer just a few months after their cinema releases.

However, the situation is slightly more complicated when it comes to the Spider-Man films, given that Sony still holds the rights to this particular property.

None of the previous films in the trilogy are currently streaming on Disney Plus and so it seems likely the same will be true in this case, with the film's most likely streaming home in the UK being NOW/Sky Cinema owing to an existing agreement with Sony (while it will be available on Netflix for US subscribers).

As for when that date will be, the minimum gap from theatrical release to streaming debut – as per Sony's agreements – stands at 120 days, and it will likely be even longer than that owing to the film's massive projected takings at the box office. Any concrete updates and we'll update this page!
