James Bond film music to feature in BBC Proms 2026 - along with tribute to Disney icon
Classic music from films like Skyfall and Beauty and the Beast are set to light up this years festival.

The world-renowned BBC Proms is set to return this summer, with a line-up that includes a special program showcasing the music of James Bond and a tribute to Disney legend Alan Menken.
Bond and Beyond, which is set to be broadcast on BBC TV and BBC iPlayer on 20 August, will celebrate iconic music from across the 27 Bond films including both the classic scores and legendary songs.
Hosted by Ted Lasso star and comedian Nick Mohammed, Bond and Beyond will feature hits from Skyfall, Goldfinger and more performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra along with yet to be announced special guests.

Music and Bond go together like a martini and espionage (provided its shaken, not stirred, of course), making 007 the perfect star for this years Proms.
From Adele to Shirley Bassey, the Bond song is an iconic part of the super-spy’s legacy. Add to that some of the greatest film scores ever created and you’ve got an excellent night at the Proms.
And its not just Bond getting the showcase treatment at this years Proms.
Enchanted: Alan Menken’s Music for Disney will celebrate the career of the legendary American composer, featuring scores from classic films like Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.

Responsible for more Disney hits than any other composer, Menken’s work includes everything from Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid to Colours of the Wind from Pocahontas, amongst others.
Enchanted will feature the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra performing some of the most beloved Disney classics alongside special guests on 31 August.
Bond and Menken are part of the diverse program of events that make up the iconic classical music festival when it returns this summer, all of which will be broadcast across BBC TV and iPlayer.
