Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has revealed that Adam Driver has turned down a number of MCU projects in the past amid rumours about the actor joining the upcoming X-Men reboot.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi actor has been rumoured to be taking on various roles in the upcoming movie, including Magneto, Mister Sinister and William Stryker.

But speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Feige addressed the rumours directly, saying that it is “no secret” that he’d like to work with Driver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that the actor has so far turned down every MCU project he’s been offered.

"It's a tradition to Zoom with him, and then he passes. That’s a long-lived tradition," Feige said.

On a more positive note, Feige added that Driver “couldn’t be more cordial” in the discussions about working with Marvel Studios, adding: “He’s usually upfront about how he is feeling."

While the official cast is yet to be revealed, there have been plenty of rumours surfacing over the last few weeks about who could be set to appear.
