Adrian Turner
John Ireland, best known for playing heavies in Hollywood B-movies, was lured to Britain for this low-budget crime drama. It's a promising but ultimately bungled yarn about a circus performer called the "Starving Man" (Eric Pohlmann) who fasts for a living. When he is found dead in his glass cage, investigations reveal that he had witnessed the murder of a blackmailer and was subsequently silenced by the killer. Honor Blackman co-stars and looks very well-fed indeed.
