Animated musical adventure featuring the voices of Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake. Queen Barb of the Hard Rock tribe is determined to destroy all other types of music so that rock 'n' roll rules. Standing in her way are troll pals Poppy and Branch, who resolve to unite the remaining tribes and save the magic of music.
Trolls just want to have fun in this bright and breezy second animated outing for the big-haired pencil toppers. Rock queen Barb (voiced by Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Rachel Bloom) wants her music to rule the troll world. Enter pop queen Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and would-be boyfriend Branch (Justin Timberlake), who set out to stop Barb bagging six musical strings and crunching out a magic power chord that will unite Trollworld under her musical authority. Or something like that. Promoting such hard-to-hate positives as harmony though differences, both musical and physical, Trolls World Tour is colourful, cute fun. It's primarily aimed at younger kids, but one suspects that more than a few grown-ups will be toe-tapping along, too.
