Our Score
Stupidity is taken to the nth degree in this strongly cast but nonsense action adventure. Formulaic and relentlessly unconvincing, the obvious low-budgeter sees Christian Slater's ex-special forces officer play bodyguard to five excitement-hungry millionaires (including Sean Bean's metals magnate and telecommunications tycoon James Cromwell) who've paid big money to participate in a real war-zone mission. After an unnecessarily convoluted set-up, this "ultimate extreme vacation" naturally goes awry, compelling the stereotypically useless-yet-cocky group to laughably prove their manhood. For the first hour, the absolute absurdity of the plotting, characters and dialogue keep things guiltily entertaining, with Cromwell in particular relishing the opportunity to act hammily gung-ho. However, insufficient thrills ruin the final section, making the washout climax a boring waste.

A former special forces operative is hired to protect a group of millionaires who are happy to pay big bucks to experience at first hand the thrills of war. However, the men get more than they bargained for when the mission goes disastrously wrong. Action adventure, starring Christian Slater, Sean Bean, Ving Rhames, Dominic Monaghan and Colm Meaney.
