A belated birthday present for Welsh sexbomb Tom Jones, who turned 85 on Saturday. What’s new pussycat? Not much. They’re all repeats, but that’s not unusual.
Tom Jones at the BBC gets things started at 9pm with a compilation of Jones’s best interviews and performances from the BBC archive. In Tom Jones: In Concert 1971 at 9.55pm, the singer performs with the Treorchy Male Choir and the Blossoms, while Tom Jones at Glastonbury (10.50pm) offers another chance to catch his 2009 Pyramid Stage set. Documentary Tom Jones’s 1950s: The Decade That Made Me (11.50pm) is the headline act. The 2016 film follows Jones as he reflects on his childhood in a small mining community in south Wales.
