Episode 1: Season 1, Episode 1
Summary
In one of his final TV projects, the presenter takes a journey around the human body, putting his own to the test to help viewers understand their own. In this episode, Michael meets tremors-sufferer Thomas who is about to undergo pioneering brain surgery, and Allen, who finds out if his experimental cancer treatment has been a success

Filmed before his tragic death in June, there’s an inevitable poignancy about this series but it also demonstrates how brilliant Michael Mosley was at making medical science — even complex issues — seem simple enough for everyone.
Here, he’ll be finding out the answers to health questions such as why the bones of women get brittle as they grow older, how much saliva we produce and what happens when we get flu.
First, though, he takes a revolutionary test that predicts heart problems years in advance. Ironically, given Mosley was only 67 when he died from natural causes, the possibility of having a heart attack really worries him, because his father died at a relatively young age.
He also explores the health benefits and risks of cold-water swimming, not, of course, by simply looking at charts or talking to experts but by doing it himself in a swimming pool.
