Antipodean cop arrives home to solve murders and sort through emotional baggage. Sounds familiar? If you caught Return to Paradise, then it’s a big yes, but here the burden is a little weightier, as New Zealand detective Anais Mallory (Chelsie Preston Crawford) not only has an ex-fiancé still living in Queenstown, but also an unresolved mystery to deal with involving the death of her sister.

That case was designated a traffic accident, but Anais resurfacing happens to coincide with another car tipping over the same cliff, which means ghosts of the past are soon intruding on the present-day drama.
