This 2019 whodunnit is a delightful thing: traditionally plotted, tongue- in-cheek and built around a premise that’s irresistible to lovers of mystery fiction.

The set-up sees Det Sgt Matilda Stone (Olivia Vinall in series one, Florence Hall in series two) return to her home village, where she’s reunited with a trio of crime-writing aunties (Julie Graham, Sarah Woodward and Siobhan Redmond) who can’t resist meddling in her investigations.
