Overview
Sex, drugs and scams are all part of family life in this uncompromising but brilliantly funny drama following the misadventures of the dysfunctional Gallaghers and their neighbours on the Chatsworth Estate in Manchester. Frank Gallagher is the head of the family - in name only. Shambolic, alcoholic and mostly absent, he's still managed to father some reasonably well-adjusted kids, thanks to eldest daughter Fiona, who's looked after her five siblings since they were abandoned by their mother.
