To fans of The Apprentice, Claude Littner is the interviewer from hell, a man always ready to pounce on the slightest mistake, weakness or bending of the truth.
But it turns out he's been on the other end of a rather difficult interview himself – with none other than Lord Sugar.
The pair are now firm friends and trusted colleagues (in fact, Littner will take over from Nick Hewer as Lord Sugar's right-hand man on the new series of The Apprentice) but they first met when Lord Sugar, then plain Mr, interviewed Littner for an unspecified job.
