Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

This low-budget British black comedy stars Kevin Bishop as a shorts-wearing, headcam-carrying bicycle policeman - more RaleighCop than RoboCop. He's seen as a figure of fun on London's mean streets until a bash on the bonce during the 2011 riots turns the well-mannered pedalling plod into an equally polite vigilante killer who's intent on dispatching the capital's criminal scumbags. Posting the footage on social media networks turns him from cycle-beat zero to internet hero, though he keeps his identity a secret. Better in concept than in its execution, this has its chucklesome moments, but producer/writer/director Stuart Urban struggles to sustain interest throughout. It deserves a look though for at least trying to do something a little bit different.
