Shot in colour and CinemaScope and featuring the ever-dependable Joel McCrea, this is a strictly by-the-book western - but for fans of the star and the genre, none the worse for that. McCrea is leading a troop on a mission into Apache Indian territory, inevitably landing in constant skirmishes with those who previously owned the land. Not that there's much time for politicising or an examination of native American rights, since prolific director Joseph M Newman clips it along in 80 minutes. It's entertaining, but don't expect any surprises.
