Comedy starring Jason Alexander and Faye Dunaway. Manager Robert Grant has problems stopping his children, Brian and Kyle, from ruining his hotel's five-star rating. When a pompous Englishman arrives, Kyle spots the stranger's thieving pet orangutan, Dunston, but Kyle has trouble convincing anyone that he's telling the truth.
Here's the primate with the mostest! Early Tarzan films led the way, with the ape-man's own furry jungle swinger, Cheetah. Now there's Dunston (played by Sam), an orangutan acting as the unwilling sidekick to a snooty English peer (Rupert Everett) who wants to use him to burgle New York's Majestic Hotel. It's amiable tosh, but Dunston's antics - especially when he's rescued by the hotel manager's two young sons - are as delightfully appealing as Faye Dunaway's rudely ruthless proprietor is unattractive.
