Horror starring Peter Cushing. When Baron Frankenstein returns to his old castle, he discovers his creature perfectly preserved in ice and begins to experiment again.
The third of Hammer's Frankenstein films and the least interesting of all - although, because it was made for Universal, it's the only one that could use their copyrighted Boris Karloff monster look. Peter Cushing lends his usual conviction to the mad doctor part, this time bringing his brain-damaged creation back to life with the help of a mesmerist. But the crooked Zoltan (Peter Woodthorpe) hypnotises the monster into carrying out his vengeful crimes. Lumbering direction by Freddie Francis matches the gait of New Zealand wrestler Kiwi Kingston as the infamous bolted one in this stagey outing.
